Abstract
A clinical study was made on 35 cases of vaginal adnexectomy at the Department of Obstetric & Gynecology, Daegu Fatima Hospital from December 1992 to February 1995.
The results were as follows.
The average age of patients were 34 years old. The most common number of parity was 2. The most common diagnosis of patients was benign cystic teratoma(60.0%), the others were mucinous cystadenoma(11.4%), parovarian cyst(11.4%0, serous
cystadenoma(11.4%) and hemorragic cyst(5.7%).
The mean operation time was 31 minutes. The average stay of hospital was 2 days. The vaginal adnexectomy is a quick, convenient method to decrease postoperative morbidity and hospital stay than that of controls(50 patients treated with adnexal
surgery
through laparotomy and 30patinets treated with adnexal surgery through pelviscopy).
